Get toxic chemicals out of our food packaging

A group of chemicals called ortho-phthalates are used regularly in food packaging and food handling equipment -- and studies show they can make their way into our food and our bodies. This is no small issue, because these chemicals have been linked to reproductive, behavioral and respiratory health problems.

Right now, the Food and Drug Administration is assessing the safety of these chemicals, and deciding whether or not they should be used in our food packaging. The answer is clear: Chemicals which have been shown to decrease IQ and cause reproductive problems should not be on or in our food. Add your voice now.
